DI kinetic Facade

A kinetic facade is a kind of metal plate which is used for exterior decoration. It is based on Kinetic technology with the wind. These façade plates raise & fall with wind flow and look like a weave. It comes in solid plate as well as perforated plate. DI can design perforation patterns as per client demand. A perforated kinetic facade is made of sheet metal processed by punching equipment and is widely used for the decoration of various large buildings and high pressure of wind.

Mostly Aluminum plate is used in kinetic facade, but some projects also use stainless steel, brass, copper and carbon steel. The surface requires a high treatment like anodizing, PVDF and other special treatment to make it strong, corrosion-resistance and durability. The decoration with Kinetic Façade gives you a real weave visual as well as the best view from outside. The color also available with coating.


Specification of plate for kinetic facade:

  • Material: aluminum / stainless steel
  • Surface: mirror/brushed
  • Sheet thickness: 0.6–0.8 mm
  • Standard sheet sizes: 150 × 180 mm, 150 mm × 190 mm, 120 mm × 120 mm, 120 mm × 150 mm, 90 mm × 120 mm (other sizes can be customized)
  • Sheet vertical spacing: 30–50 mm (varies based on different projects)
  • Colors: customized.
  • Stainless steel wire rope diameter: 3.0 mm, 5.0 mm, 6.0 mm or 8.0 mm.
  • Rail diameter: 6.0 mm, 8.0 mm or 10.0 mm.

Surface treatment

  • Titanium Coated for stainless steel
  • Anodizing, Powder Coating or PVDF Coating for Aluminum
